Carcarbaba, a Chinese-owned car-dealing company, commenced production in Kigali on Wednesday, January 26.

Carcarbaba would promote two top Chinese companies, WULING and DONGFENG, which are known as "China Magic Vehicles" and are the leading brand in automobile manufacturing and marketing in China. The auto dealership company was founded in Rwanda in 2021 with the goal of establishing specialized car sales and servicing networks across Africa, providing a diverse selection of manufacturers.

Establishing roots in Rwanda, Nick Duan, MD of Carcarbaba Rwanda, intends to share Chinese high-standard automobiles with Rwandan customers and Africans in general.

Company's facility in Dongfeng

Unlike other auto manufacturers, Carcarbaba is exceptional in that it provides sufficient replacement parts including after-sale assistance once the vehicles are delivered. The startup, according to the Sales Manager of Carcarbaba Rwanda, Ernest Bugingo, will take into account Rwandans' buying power and budget.

As per Fidele Mutaganira, the Company Liaison Specialist at Rwanda Polytechnic who represented IPRC Kigali at the premiere, Carcarbaba will collaborate with the renowned technical partners IPRC in Rwanda to negotiate automotive sector graduate assistantships as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) operation.

Brands of Wuling

Wuling-branded vehicles are also on display, which included a Cargo Minivan and a 11-seater Passenger Minivan. All of them possess a 1.5-liter engine, except Mini tracks, which have a 1.8-liter engine.WULING and DONGFENG are prime examples of Chinese car manufacturers that have earned consumer recognition in China.

Carcarbaba intends to offer current electric MPVs, electric SUVs, tourist automobiles, golf carts, renewable power trucks, renewable power motorcycles, and other electric vehicles as an element of their environmentally sustainable technique to combat environmental destruction. China is currently capable of exporting massive commercial technology. Chinese vehicle brands have expanded their market share in Latin America, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and many other nations and territories in recent decades, contesting with renowned international names.

Remember that the transport sector plays a critical role in Rwanda's industrial growth, fostering creative manufacturing development, boosting employment, and driving demand improvement. 

Carcarbaba DONGFENG BRANDS

Carcarbaba currently owns four DONGFENG brands, including the 11 seater M3+van, and a 1.6-liter engine that is particularly low maintenance. Rich 6, a pickup with a decent logging ability, a 2.5-liter engine capacity, and employed for commercial reasons, can also be found in the industrial field.

A 5-seater Athletics Utility Vehicle with a 1.6-liter engine that is frequently used as a passenger vehicle is the SX5. The company also sells the well-known T5 EVO brand, which is unique to Kigali and features a perfectly assembled engine (MITSUBISHI 4A95TD) that has been fitted in contemporary vehicles.
